RELAXING BATH TREATS YOU CAN MAKE AT HOME

Bath Salts

You will need:
Glass bottle or jar to hold the salts
Epsom Salts
Essential Oil or Perfume
Food Coloring

Directions:
Measure out enough Epsom Salts to fit in your bottle. Add enough food coloring to achieve the color you like. Mix it well so the color is even. Add small amounts of perfume or oil until it's mixed evenly. Then spread the mixture out onto foil or waxed paper so it can dry a couple of hours. Then place it in the jar. Use the salts right away, or allow them to sit for a couple weeks and let the oils and salts blend further.

Bathtub Tea Bags
You will need:
1/2 yard interfacing (fusible)
Steam iron
Scrap cardboard (3" x 7")
Dried herbs totalling 5 cups.
Examples of good herbs for baths are:
peppermint, patchouli, orange rind, lavendar, and rosebuds

Make the bags:
Cut the interfacing into 4" x 5" rectangles and group in pairs with the fusible sides together.
Set the iron to cotton setting. Place cardboard inside and leaving the interfacing touching
about 1/2" on 3 sides. Iron the 3 edges together quickly to fuse. Slip the cardboard out and make the next bag.

FIlling each bag:
2 pinches of your base herb
1 pinch each of other three or so herbs
rosebuds or flowers
Close each bag by ironing 1/2" of top edge. Trim edges.

Store bags in an airtight container to keep the herbs fresh inside.

Time to Enjoy...
Place a bag in your bathwater and let it soak along with you!
