ASQ Sparkler Provider Toolkit

Welcome to Ohio’s Help Me Grow ASQ digital toolkit – a free, go-to resource for supporting providers in educating families about the importance of early childhood developmental screenings and how to use the Sparkler platform. Using these materials, you can help parents access the Ages & Stages Questionnaire, increasing the likelihood that they will complete their child’s screenings and stay engaged in their development.

Download ready-to-use social media and newsletter graphics with impactful messages focused on developmental milestones, developmental screening from birth through age 5, kindergarten readiness, and accessing the ASQ through the Sparkler: Play for Parenting app. Each image features accompanying posting text, making it easy to share valuable information that promotes early childhood learning and development, whether on your program’s social media platform or in your classroom newsletter. 

Share key facts that highlight the need for all infants and young children to be screened for developmental milestones. These facts explain that developmental delays are common and emphasize the importance of early intervention. This is a great resource to post on your parent board or in your Family Resource Center. 

Help spread the word to Ohio families about the free Sparkler: Play for Parenting app, which includes the built-in Ages & Stages Questionnaire screening. This sign encourages families to link their Sparkler account with you as a provider, allowing you to view their child’s completed screenings so you can better support their growth and development. You can share this sign electronically or display it prominently in a high-traffic area.  

These customizable and printable PDF booklets are designed to encourage families to sign up and engage with Sparkler. The 12-page booklets include detailed instructions on how to sign up, as well as parent tips and play activities in each of the four developmental domains in Sparkler. Providers may find these useful to print and distribute to families at in-person events, conferences, at local libraries, etc.

These posters were made for families who need more detailed, explicit instructions on how to sign up and get started with Sparkler. Families will learn what Sparkler is, how to download the app, and how to register. Providers may find this asset useful in helping less tech-savvy families get started with Sparkler.
